Invitation to Comment on the DMC Draft Rules to Govern the Monitoring of Compliance of Distribution Utilities to the Philippine Distribution Code [Archive-134]

DMC seeks comments of stakeholders on the DMC Draft Rules to Govern the Monitoring of Compliance of Distribution Utilities to the Philippine Distribution Code (PDC).

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) approved on 16 August 2010 the issuance of a Notice seeking comments from the public, particularly the industry stakeholders, on the DMC draft Rules to Govern the Monitoring of Compliance of Distribution Utilities to the Philippine Grid Code and the Philippine Distribution Code. Comments from the stakeholders during the expository presentations and public consultation suggested that the process of monitoring DUs' compliance with the Philippine Grid Code (PGC) be handled by the Grid Management Committee (GMC). The DMC and the GMC were amenable to this suggestion and conferred with the ERC to turn-over the task of monitoring all compliance with the PGC to the GMC.

The DMC incorporated in the draft rules (see Annex A) some of the suggestions received and endorsed the same to the ERC for approval. The ERC directed the DMC to seek further comments from the stakeholders on the said draft for finalization.

All concerned parties are invited to submit a soft copy of their comments to dmcrules@gmcdmc.ph and the hard copy thereof to the 20th Floor, Pacific Center Bldg., San Miguel Ave., Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The deadline for submission of comments is on 13 May 2011 (Friday).
